My Beautiful Baby Niece!!!

This is when I just saw Nicole for the first time in the airport.

My mom seeing her grandaughter for the first time.

My Mom, Me, and Nicole in the airport. Together at last!

All clean from my bath Daddy!

I love this picture. If only she would have had her head turned. She was just not interested in keeping her head turned towards the camera. Oh well. Her backside is still so cute!

Poor Nicole. The sun was just so bright!

I think this is my favorite picture! Look at those big beautiful blue eyes!

I'm Back!!!

I arrived in Boise at midnight last night. Went to bed at 2:00 am. Have been up most of the week with a bad cough and late night feedings. I'm exhausted and don't feel good. I think I'll try and take a nap before Home Teams tonight.

I just wanted to share a couple pictures I took. I'll post more tomorrow or Saturday.

Savannah, Georiga Here I Come!!!

I'll be MIA until next Thursday. I leave tomorrow to fly to Savannah, Georgia where I get to spend four glorious days with my mom, my brother, my sister-in-law, and my beautiful niece, Nicole.

Nicole, I can’t wait to meet you for the first time and hold you in my arms and kiss your chubby little cheeks!

When I get back, I’ll have TONS of pictures to post. So just you wait…

My sisters a STAR!

My sister is on the front page of Boise State's website! How cool is that?!!

You can catch her on it for another week. Go to http://www.boisestate.edu/

The picture is the 'Photo of the Week' at the bottom. She is the 'flapper' dressed one on the far right.

But after a week you can see her photo at http://www.boisestate.edu/news/photooftheweek.shtml Look for the 'Photo of the Week' of February 14th.

Our Valentines

Some of our Home Team got together for Valentines Day and all went to The Melting Pot. I absolutely LOVE The Melting Pot! If you have never been, save up your money and take your sweetheart there. It is totally worth it! (In fact, if anyone does go let me know because we had a $10 off coupon that we forgot to use!) I’ve been there once before, two years ago, so this was long over due!

We all got the ‘Dinner for Two’ which included a salad of your choice, a cheese fondue of your choice, a meat selection of your choice with a cooking broth/oil of your choice, and a desert fondue of your choice. Oh! Everything we had was amazing! Cheddar Cheese and Spinach and Artichoke Cheese Fondue with apples, veggies, bread and chips to dip in! Then a walnut and raspberry vinaigrette salad! And then all types of meats and seafood, potatoes, and veggies to cook in this so good broth! And then to top it all off three different types of dessert fondue: Smores, Flaming Turtle, and the Ying Yang! Oh!

We were all so stuffed afterwards but it was a good stuffed! The whole ordeal took almost three hours! What was awesome about it all was that they put us in this off-to-the-side enclosed room that was so nice! We had it all to ourselves and it was so much better than being in the crowded noisy restaurant. We all agreed that we have to do it again soon (soon meaning in another year)!

So, here are some pictures of our fabulous evening…

Church Bulletin Bloopers

Since I am in charge of the bulletin for our church I thought it would be funny to pass this along. Thankfully I don't think I have had any of these happen to me!
· The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals.

· The sermon this morning: "Jesus Walks on the Water." The sermon tonight: "Searching for Jesus."

· Our youth basketball team is back in action Wednesday at 8 PM in the recreation hall. Come out and watch us kill Christ the King.

· Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.

· The peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been canceled due to a conflict.

· Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our community. Smile at someone who is hard to love. Say "Hell" to someone who doesn't care much about you.

· Don't let worry kill you off - let the Church help.

· Miss Charlene Mason sang "I will not pass this way again," giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.

· For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.

· Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.

· The Rector will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing: "Break Forth Into Joy."

· Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.

· At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be "What Is Hell?" Come early and listen to our choir practice.

· Eight new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.

· Scouts are saving aluminum cans, bottles and other items to be recycled. Proceeds will be used to cripple children.

· Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person you want remembered.

· The church will host an evening of fine dining, super entertainment and gracious hostility.

· Potluck supper Sunday at 5:00 PM - prayer and medication to follow.

· The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.

· This evening at 7 PM there will be a hymn singing in the park across from the Church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.

· Ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday morning at 10 AM. All ladies are invited to lunch in the Fellowship Hall after the B.S. is done.

· The pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday.

· Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 PM. Please use the back door.

· The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the Church basement Friday at 7 PM. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.

· Weight Watchers will meet at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church. Please use the large double door at the side entrance.

· The Associate Minister unveiled the church's new tithing campaign slogan last Sunday: "I Upped My Pledge - Up Yours".

My Mom got a Camera!

My Mom finally broke down and bought herself a Canon Rebel xti! I am so excited for her! She is really into landscape photography and the camera she had was just not cutting it. After seeing how mine worked and some other friends of hers she just couldn't resist. Oh yeah...the new grand baby doesn't help the matter either! Who could resist taking a picture of her?!

I'm excited to share in our camera adventure Mom! Love you!
